8 Temperatura di colore La tonalità della luce, cioè il colore dominante della luce emessa, si definisce come temperatura di colore. Viene espressa in Gradi Kelvin (indicata con un valore seguito dal simbolo °K). In particolare per quanto riguarda la luce bianca, se il colore dominante della luce tende al rosso si dice che la luce emessa ha una tonalità calda (Warm White) con valori da 2.700°K a 3.500°K. Diminuendo il rosso ed aumentando il blu si otterrà una tonalità molto vicina a quella della luce solare compresa tra i 3.800°K ed i 4.200°K; questa tonalità è detta Daylight. Se il colore dominante della luce tende al blu si dice che la luce emessa ha una tonalità fredda (Cool white), ed i valori in °K sono compresi tra 5.000 e 6.500. Colour temperature The shade of light, that is the dominant color of the emitted light, is named as color temperature.
